A message from Sandy. Considering the benefits of curiosity, how will you become a more curious person?

The first thing that may be essential to becoming more curious, is keeping an open mind. (this can be harder than you think,) Being open to learning, unlearning and relearning, some things you may not agree with at first, give it a chance. It’s time to prepare yourself to accept the possibility that  you may have to change your mind!

Do you take things for granted? If you accept the world as it is without trying to dig any deeper, it’s definitely going to hinder your curiosity. Try digging beneath the surface of what is around you. Ask questions relentlessly. This is a sure way to dig deeper. What, why, when, who, where, and how all best friends of curious people.

Have you ever labeled something as boring? Do you suppose you just closed the door to a new possibility? Curious people will leave the door open, even if they don’t have time to explore it. Do you see learning as fun or a burden? If you think of learning as fun, you will naturally want  to know more. Why not enjoy the process of learning something new?

Diversify your reading choices. Why spend so much time on one favorite topic, venture into some new areas that may introduce you to the possibilities and excitement of other worlds. This may spark your interest to explore them further. Where will my new curiosity take me next?
