Making Your Attitude Your Greatest Asset

A message from Sandy—How can two people with the same skills and abilities, in the same situation, end up with two totally different outcomes? In the book “The Difference Maker” by John C.Maxwell, he states that attitude is what makes the difference. There is good news: maintaining the right attitude is easier than regaining the right attitude. An old Chinese proverb states “Assume a cheerfulness you do not feel, and shortly you feel the cheerfulness you assumed.” Or as Elbert Hubbard says, “Be pleasant until 10:00a.m. and the rest of the day will take care of itself.”
If you take responsibility for your attitude, recognizing that it can change the way you live, you can make your attitude your greatest asset. Maxwell has a few more words of insight: “Your attitude colors every aspect of your life. It is like the mind’s paintbrush.” Attitude can become the “difference maker” in your life, opening doors and helping you overcome obstacles. Have you checked your attitude lately? Are you maintaining or do you need to regain a better attitude?
