Feeding Your Fans

A message from Terry: In dentistry, it’s our privilege – and our responsibility – to share enlightening new information with our patients. The question is how, in the course of our busy day, can we find time to seek out reliable new sources of interesting input?
These days, to a surprising extent, Google Alerts and other search functions as well as many forms of Social Media can help solve that problem for us. Online, you can receive a steady stream of resources and information, freeing you to sort out the best pieces for your own learning as well as to pass along to your fans.
Look at Facebook, for example. This free social media site now hosts a vast array of specialized groups and fan pages that you can visit, assess and join, ‘like’ or ‘friend.’ If the resultant news feeds prove to be useful and interesting, you can continue to read, learn and share. If not, you can easily hide the page or un-like/un-friend it. This is true for your patients as well so make sure your fan page contains valuable and relevant information that your patients not only appreciate but also want to share with their friends.
What is your secret for finding interesting and useful information to share?
