Overcoming Someday Disease

A message from Sandy—— When it comes to overcoming “someday disease”, isn’t it time to change your perception and realize that conditions will never be perfect? Do you want to break free from the “someday” mentality? Consider this:
There will probably never be a right time. We all know when we wait for the right time to do something, what we are really doing is waiting until we have run out of excuses to start.(We are so inventive at coming up with excuses aren’t we?) Isn’t it possible to lose yourself in indecisiveness? Rarely does everything come together perfectly and at the right time. You might have a great idea, but not enough knowledge, experience, or money to pursue it. What ever the excuse nothing will happen until you take some action!
You will most likely learn more by doing. Researching or waiting until you have the experience will not compare to practical training. Don’t we learn more from making mistakes along the way? This would require we put ourselves out there………a scary thought.
We all realize that “someday” is not actually a day of the week, it’s not really real. Right? We also know in order to reach our goals and dreams we need to attach a date to it, or it will never happen. Unless… you take “someday” and turn it into now! Isn’t living life about enjoying and celebrating now, not someday? If we keep doing the same thing we have been doing for the last who knows how many years, “someday” will never come. You’ll wake up one morning wondering where the last 10, 15, or 20 years went. Do you have one to many “someday’s “that you talk about? What’s keeping you from making your “someday “happen right now?

WOW! This is so true for me! I always feel like everything has to be in place to proceed with my “someday list”. Always wishing for time, more time to do this or that and using not enough time as my reason/excuse for not accomplishing something I would like to do. Thank you for not just bringing this subject to my attention but also offering a way to overcome the someday syndrome I’ve been experiencing for quite some time now. Love your words of advise and encouragement! Judy
