Relationship Reunion

A message from Terry: Life is hectic. People meet, interact and then move on. But sometimes, if we’re lucky, patterns form…and then reform…and an old friend reappears on our horizon.

It’s often as if no time has really passed. Sure, our old acquaintance may have a bit less hair, or a few more pounds or wrinkles. Maybe their kids have grown up and are graduating, or even having kids of their own. But those are changes in circumstance, not changes of the heart.

Within, we feel warmth as a flood of memories return to remind us of the interconnectedness of our lives. We talk eagerly, exchanging information about friends, families and careers, filling in the missing pieces of our mutual puzzle.

As the connecting threads multiply and strengthen, our sense of the past transform like the turning of a kaleidoscope, uniting with the present pattern, opening pathways to new possibilities.

I love hearing what each of you are up to, learning which videos you’ve found most informative, music you enjoy, seeing the photos of your families and co-workers, and listening to tales of your latest adventures.

Since I can’t be everywhere at once, achieving these reunions through social media is the next best thing. For me, it is a meaningful re-gathering of the clan, a delightful reminder that we are all part of the same valuable, far-reaching organism of life and learning.

Reach out, connect, and take part in the reunion.
