THE ACCOUNTABILITY MOSAIC

A message from Terry: When you were a kid, did you ever make an egg-shell mosaic? It’s a great rainy-day craft: you break an egg shell into small, irregular pieces, glue them onto a flat surface, and then use paints or markers to color the shards of egg shell, creating a picture.
With so many pieces involved, it’s easy to lose track of which ones have already been glued. Each piece of eggshell becomes part of the greater pattern. If a piece is red where it should be green, or falls off because it wasn’t glued properly, the big picture will suffer.
In our professional lives, each of us has individual tasks to complete, and we are also part of the team. Like a colorful fragment of eggshell, it’s important that we perform in a way that contributes positively to the bigger picture – and, no matter what the day throws at us, that we don’t come unglued!
Do you look at the big picture regularly? How did you enhance the pattern today?
