Seasons of Life

4 seasons A message from Sandy. Like the four seasons of nature, could these four  seasons teach us four lessons that are critical to our lives? By learning them, being aware of them, and applying them how could they improve our lives?

Be ready for WINTER. Every year winter comes, it always comes. We prepare for it. You have your car winterized, you check your furnace out, and you pull out your winter coat, boots, gloves, scarves, sweaters and, shovels, everything you think you may need to get through the cold and snow. We know it’s coming. The same applies to our lives, difficult times will come. No one escapes them. You have to be ready, so when it does come, you’re not stuck without your winter coat and a shovel. Be ready to manage the winter of your life.

Take advantage of SPRING. Every year, after a long winter, comes the spring. This is the time when opportunities arise, or at least it seems so, everything is fresh, budding and becoming green. Flowers begin to blossom, creatures come out of hibernation, can a new start for all of us be far behind? It’s a hopeful time. This can also apply to your life, after a challenging time, you will be faced with great opportunity. It is your duty to take full advantage of the “springs”  that pop up in your life. This is your moment to plant the seeds of greatness to come. Make your spring the springboard to getting where you want to go.

Protect your SUMMER. After having planted your seeds in the spring, the summer will come. This is the time where you can begin to reap the benefits of your work. As well as a being a time of joy, relaxation, and comfort. If you were a farmer and your crops were under attack (by being destroyed or spoiled) you would do whatever it took to protect them, the same goes for us. Once you have achieved something in your life you must defend it, stand up for it, and protect its value.

Take responsibility for the FALL. As fall comes, the trees change color, lose their leaves, and the weather gets colder. You are gearing up for another winter, it’s the best time to take responsibility for what happened the previous season, both good and bad. This is a great time to open yourself to learning lessons and putting things in proper perspective, learn from your successes and your mistakes. Now you will be ready to prepare for another winter.
