Saying on the Ceiling

What is possible? What you will.

A message from Terry:  Don’t forget to think outside the box when it comes to the term “index card.” Once upon a time, it referred to a three-inch by five-inch piece of heavy paper stock. These days, it can just as well be an electronic message on your computer, a hand-written Post-It note, a notation on your desk calendar, or a text on your smart phone. The important thing is to find the method that works best for you!

Sometimes, when faced with the desire to change a situation for the better, the hardest thing to figure out is where to start. That first step can be a dilly! But when it comes to “upgrading” the way your office team operates, figuring out that first step is simple: the change starts with YOU!

No matter how close or far you currently are from where you hope to be, change always requires a commitment from you, in the form of that first definitive step. It’s a step that will take you…

  • away from the status quo
  • into the unknown
  • toward your goal

To help you blaze a worthy trail as you move forward, use the following quotes as a compass to help keep you moving in the right direction.  Ever Onward!

WEEK 3:

Good enough never is.  Debbi Fields

Most people give up just when they’re about to achieve success. They quit on the one yard line. They give up at the last minute of the game, one foot from a winning touchdown.  Ross Perot

Hold yourself responsible for a higher standard than anybody expects of you. Never excuse yourself.  Harriet Beecher Stowe

If you give yourself to your task at once, you won’t have to do it twice.  David Seabury

Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more you sweat, the luckier you get.  Ray Kroc
