THE POWER OF AN INDEX CARD – PART 2
written by Terry - July 19th, 2011 at 7:13 am
A Message from Terry: Are you ready to challenge yourself to achieve something beyond your daily routine? If not, be sure not to read this next batch of quotations that I’ve gathered for you. But if you suspect that there may be more greatness in you than you’ve shown to the world lately, then these five crystallized thoughts (because that’s what a quotation is, really – a crystallized thought!) may be just what you need to tap into your inner strength and raise your game.
There are several different ways to approach quotes like these:
- You can skim over them.
- You can read them all at once, and move on to something else.
- You can read them one by one, and pause after each one to reflect on how it might affect what you’re currently doing.
- You can follow my earlier advice and post them, one by one, in whatever manner works best for you. If you’re “old school,” that may be on an actual index card, but it can just as easily be an e-mail, instant pop-up message, or Post-It note. Any method is fine, as long as each quote gets its chance to catch your eye and enter your thoughts at odd moments during the day.
However you choose to approach them, here are five more little gems – morsels of nourishing food for thought. Bon appétit!
WEEK 2:
“To achieve great things, two things are needed: a plan, and not quite enough time.” Leonard Bernstein
“Don’t be afraid to give up the good to go for the great.” John D. Rockefeller
“All great achievements require time.” Maya Angelou
“Go as far as you can see; when you get there, you’ll be able to see farther.” J.P. Morgan
“Because a thing seems difficult to you, do not think it impossible for anyone to accomplish.” Marcus Aurelius
