Are You A Leader or A Follower?

lead or follow A message from Sandy. I think people can safely be categorized into three groups: those who watch things happen; those who make things happen; and those who are still wondering what happened! Upon further deliberation, and even at the risk of oversimplifying things, I’m going to pare these three groups down to two: those who lead and those who follow. Let me offer a thought for the day:

I believe circumstance can affect the role we play. Sometimes life throws us curve-balls,(sometimes…..really…who am I kidding?)  that unearth leadership abilities we never knew we had, but for the most part we are primarily a leader or a follower. Neither is necessarily better, because both roles play an important part in accomplishing goals. I am only suggesting that each person has an innate tendency to be more like one than the other. So which of these groups best describes your typical way of behaving in your life? It may be a complicated question, and your answer may change depending on the circumstances at the time. Just take a moment to consider if you are more of a leader or more of a follower? As one or the other….where does it take you in your daily journey?
