Bringing Joy Into Your Life

A message from Sandy. How do you bring joy into your life? Does joy seem like such an elusive emotion? The Divine Spirit that you believe in, may be whispering to you, “You are not alone. The warmth of the sun will seep into your bones comforting you, angels may be sent your way, and little by little joy will be magnified in your life.”
Love Yourself. Rejoice and celebrate YOU! That is the first and most important key to bringing joy into your life. Loving yourself means honoring, cherishing, embracing, and accepting yourself. To allow yourself to make choices, to dream and hope for better things. It means not feeling guilty when you need space for yourself. Only by taking the time to nourish yourself, can genuinely care and love others.
Be Joy To Others. If you want to experience joy–be a joy to others. Demonstrate joy and you will be joy in motion. There are many things you can do to brighten someones life. Share and give of yourself and your joy will multiple.
Dance to the Joyous Rhythm of Life. You may have observed that the path to joy is obstructed with resistance. It may be one of the reasons that joy may be prevented from flowing into your life. Words like, ” I can’t, I won’t, I don’t like, I hate………” are words of resistance. If you want to be happy, you have to wear your dancing shoes and follow the wonderful beat of life. Follow your heart, fulfill your dreams, open your wings and fly.
This lesson may resonate with those of us that are “scaredy cats.” If you are fearful–these words may be familiar to you, ” I am afraid of making a mistake. I don’t want to look like a fool. I’m not good enough.” Maybe it’s time to stop beating yourself up when you make a mistake. Allow yourself to experiment with new things, give yourself a chance to shine.
Your life will likely take a sudden turn and you will discover that you can create ripples with love, reaching out to people can be healing and really touch their lives.
Appreciate Everything and Everyone. Gratitude is the heart of joy. A joyful heart appreciates all–despite the circumstances. A grateful attitude unlocks the doors to happiness. You will draw into your life what you are most grateful about. Think of the family, friends, and strangers who have come your way to lift you up, mentor you, encourage you to be the best you can be. The more grateful you are for the people and events you encounter, the challenges will now appear as opportunities for growth.
Savor the Now. Many times we spend to much time looking back at our past recounting painful events over and over again, wondering about our future. The best way to live life joyfully is to savor the now. Enjoy whatever you are doing, enjoy the people around you, be focused on the moment.
Share the joy!
